Joke

Q: What place is can we compare TV shows to?

A: LANDFILLS! Or take that back, landfills stink less than today's TV shows.

Joke

Q: Is there a drug worse for your brain than LSD?

A: Yes, it's called MEDIAPROPAGANDA!

Here is a question I asked when I was a kid.

I asked "Why does Christmas Season only come once a year but Allergy Season has to come twice." About a year and a half later I got tested and reacted to nothing. The situation was dismissed as sinuses. All I know is I haven't been feeling well all week. I do feel better today. But still coughing. I really think I may need a doctor check me out. If there are allergies this time I would gladly take shots. A millisecond of physical pain sure beats a week of feeling like crap!

Okay people here's what's been going on today.

Well, I still have not been feeling all that well. I assume it must be all that pollen in the air. They say rain can wash it away. Well, I guess I wished for some rain to wash away the air pollen. Well, you know what they say, "Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it."

After I clocked out for one job, my girlfriend called me and asked if I am all right. She heard about hail in Durham, which is where I was working. Fortunately, in my part of Durham there was no hail, do I guess that is good. She noticed I didn't sound too well. I told her it must be all that pollen in the air. I took some DayQuil and NyQuil, but don't want to take any more. They tell you you should not take anymore than four doses in 24 hours. I'm afraid I took six. Didn't see that warning until later. I as told I should be all right. There were people who told me they took more than that and they are all right, so I should be too.,but I'm NOT going to take any more.

Unfortunately, this is whee I got my wish. I had to drive to my other job in a violent storm. And I'm still not feeling all that well. Thankfully, I'm only working four hours at my job at Harris Teeter. But that's what going on.

Oh, today the Dow DID finish in a certain color (yes, that's his we spell it here in the United States). It finished at 140.19 points IN THE RED! And Nasdaq finished at 72.78 points also in the red. Yep, it was a really great day. And yes, that was sarcasm, bye the way!

Okay, people who would have though?

But believe it or not, The Dow Jones Industrial Average BROKE EVEN today. It finished in neither the green nor the red. So, what color did The Dow finish? Would it be reddish-green or greenish-red? I don't know. But that's what happened.

Oh and by the way. I have heard similar stories about NASDAQ. However, not all stories agree. Heard mixed stories there. Did NASDAQ finish a certain color, that I'm familiar with? Or did it break even like the Dow? I don't know.

Oh, and for those of you who live outside the United States, yes, we spell the word C-O-L-O-R. We don't spell it with a "U." I don't know, it's just an American thing. But I thought I would share that news with you all.

Joke

Q: What disproves the cliche "What goes up must come down."

A: People's materialistic standards!!

Oh and 9...

No, you're not getting by. Yes, I saw you. And I got you again. So, HA!!!

Joke

Q: How would I describe a mine field?

A: SAFER than a freeway at rush hour. And quieter, too.

Question

Why do people not look both sides of the street before they cross?! It happened twice to me today! It really scares me!!

Joke

Q: Can be a professional thief?

A: Yes, except most people call them insurance companies!

Question

How do I get over the weather when I am feeling under it? Don't know just though I'd ask.

Here's the situation about the employment situation.

I had my interview with the store manager at Harris Teeter yesterday. Well, it was decided I do not have experience in home shop (getting orders ready for people who shop online) or how to do money orders in the office. So, I will not get the job in upper management in Customer Service.

However, they told they will train me in those areas. Hopefully, they may give me a promotion to Office Clerk. That is a lower management position in the Customer Service department. It's not as high as Customer Service Manager or Assistant Customer Service Manager, but still in the management position in the Customer Service department. I hope I can get started soon. The store manager said it may be a while. How long is still uncertain. However, I really hope I get it. I would really appreciate a promotion. However, that is the situation.

Hope everybody out there had a HAPPY EASTER!

Well, I sure did. I first went to the 11:00 service at church Easter morning. Being that it was Easter Sunday the church was PACKED! My parents and I had to wait by the main hall in front of the Sanctuary. Unfortunately, there were a lot of people who came by who also wanted to come to see if they can get some good pews as well. After the service was done, we had to make room for the people from the 9:45 service leave. Good thing the 11:00 service was the final service on Sunday morning, or we would have to go through a ton of people who were waiting for the following service. I wish I got some photos of the the Church service. Sorry, but I didn't.

It was a beautiful service. We had a cross out. It wasn't a very pretty cross. But we decorated it with flowers to change that. It was beautiful with the flowers added. It worked. Church was nice this Easter morning. After that I waited for Carson (my girlfriend) to call me. She did and told me that she and her parents are on their way to see Mike & Gretchen and their kids. Mike is Carson's brother. Gretchen is Mike's wife and Carson's sister in law. Mike and Gretchen live in Chapel Hill like me. I drove over at about 3:30 so I can go see them. I did however, get some photos of that.
Here is Carson enjoying a game of catch with her nephew, Harrison. Later on they had me join in. It became a catch triangle.

Later Parker, Carson's younger niece joined in as well.

Later it became Carson and I against Harrison and Parker in game where we try to through the ball to out partner. And the other team tries to get the ball from the opponents. I'm not sure if this game has been named, yet.

Here are some of the deserts. I didn't get pictures of the main course, though. For the main course there was some ham and lamb. On the side there was some scalloped potatoes and broccoli. For desert there were two cakes. And brownies. The Happy Easter cake was store bought. However, Gretchen's parents made the other cake. It was a lemon cake with strawberry jelly and strawberry icing. It was delicious. As well as Carson's brownies.

Here are Carson's brownies.

Here is Parker on the left. Mckenzie in the center, and Harrison on the right.

Me, had some fun that day.

HAPPY EASTER, EVERYBODY!!

Hello people, as you know today is Easter Sunday. It is the day we celebrate when our lord Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead conquering sin and death for us all. Let us not forget him on this wonderful day! HAPPY EASTER EVERYBODY!

Saturday, April 19, 2014

Well there MAY be some good news in my life.

The potential good news is, I just maybe, maybe, MAYBE about to be promoted. At one of my jobs, my job at Harris Teeter, I recently applied for a promotion. HOPEFULLY, I'll get it. IF I DO get it, you just can't imagine how happy that would make me. Let's all keep out fingers crossed. I guess, this would be huge step in the world of Autism achievement. I mean, the disorder has a wide spectrum. I mean, I myself am in the high-functioning league. And perhaps more people with give people with Autism/Asperger's diagnoses a chance. That's all I have to say now.

PS. Yes, people MANY more jokes on the way. But I though I would be serious with this message.

Joke

Q: Have you ever meet an entity with multiple personalities?

A: I'm pretty sure you have. We all have. Her name is MOTHER NATURE! And it looks like her personalities are changing ever more.

Nice try 9

But you're not squeaking by that easily!

Even though as you can see, I enjoyed the Durham Bulls game last night...

I STILL DON'T ENJOY SEE THE NUMBER OF MY POSTS END IN A 9!!! Yeah 9, I saw you!!!

Here are my last set of photos on last night's Durham Bulls game.

And of course people like to do The Wave at a Ball game.

Okay, it's towards the end. Bulls lead 3-2. We're all HOPING the  pitcher can strike this man out. Oh, bye the way. Could you believe I was the ONLY Shoeboxed employee who was there at this point? I kid you NOT. They all thought it was getting too cold, I said "Come on, in Detroit I put up with far worse than this." And I'm sure many us know how cold Detroit is. But getting back to the point, we all held out breath to see if the pitcher and strike him out.
AND HE DID!!! At the end of each Bulls game the Bull, name Big Bovine snorts smoke. Bulls didn't need to bat. THEY WON!! It was a close game though. Still, MY TEAM, The Durham Bulls came up on top, 3-2.
Both the Durham Bulls and Norfolk Tides showing their sportsmanship at the end.
This is supposed to be a shot speaking with on of the Bulls, who was accompanied by their mascot Wool E. Bull about the Bulls victory tonight. GO BULLS!!!

Here's some more pics of the night. Here is where I actually have some pics of the game!!

I finally got to the game. However, I missed the first pitch and the National Anthem. Most of my other Shoeboxed associates were late, too.  Still, I LOVE Baseball. The Durham Bulls are the closest professional team to my area. Sorry, we don't have any major league teams here in North Carolina. I have hear some talk to start one, but so far no plans have been made. So, we only have Minor League teams. They played the Norfolk Tides.
Here is a view of the Bull and scoreboard from the inside during the daytime.
This is supposed to be a photo showing more people coming in.
Night has now fallen. Here is some extra entertainment. Here are some kids in Sumo outfits here to some sumo wrestling.
Here is a view of the Bull at night. Is it just me, do his eyes seem to glow at night? Well, you can't see it from this photo, but on the Bull it says, "Hit the Bull, win steak. Hit the grass, win salad."

Went to a Bulls game with my associates from Shoeboxed last night.

Well people this was what happened last night when one of my companies, Shoeboxed.com went to go see a Durham Bulls game. And just in case you are not from North Carolina, the Durham Bulls are a Triple-A minor league team. Here is a look of what happened.

Here is a picture of some of my associates playing Shuffleboard at a restaurant and bar nearby called Tyler's. We were also welcome to have dinner. At Tyler's I just went with water and a salad. I wanted to save my calorie consuption for the ball park. Especially, since at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park they have $1 hot dogs every Thursday. And guess what?! IT WAS THURSDAY!!! And who couldn't sit through a Baseball game without eating at least one hot dog?! NOT ME!!

Here is a view of Shufflebording from the side.
Chuck and DeShea are having lot's of fun!!

Well, to all my fellow Christians from around the WORLD...

I wish all of you out there a happy Good Friday! Though I know it is the celebration of a sad day. This was the day Jesus was crucified by Pontus Pilot, the governor of Judea back in Ancient Rome, by the decision of the people. They all wanted Barabas instead of Jesus. Because if this Jesus was sentenced to death. But he had to die for the sins of all of humanity. This is the day that Christians like me celebrate the day Jesus died and paid for all the world's sins. That is why we celebrate Good Friday.

Well, just been to a Durham Bulls game

And experience a scary incident. While I was on a bridge in Chapel Hill, I had another car come close to me. I feared that other car could have side-swiped me or pushed my car off the bridge. Well, the good news it didn't happen and I'm okay. But still, it really scared me. I'm still scared. Please pray that another situation like this never happens to me again. I try to put some some photos of game on this blog later. I'm just terrified by what happened.

For those of you who live outside of North Carolina, The Durham Bulls are a triple-A minor league Baseball team.

Yes, there is something else I HATE!

You know I hate tax day and I hate having the number of my posts end in a 9. Do you know what else I hate? Well, the Blood Moon was tonight and I missed it. It was all due to the overcast sky here in North Carolina. You know I love astronomy and I hate missing rare astronomical events. All due to nature. But well, there is nothing you can do about nature. I guess, it makes this April 15 double miserable.

No people take that back. I would I have to say this April 15 was triple miserable. You know why? Well, my girlfriend and I were going to see a UNC Baseball game against NC State. Carson (my girlfriend) got the tickets months ago. However, the game got rained out. Well, we will get together tomorrow to eat at a Mexican Restaurant in Chapel Hill we both like, so we will get together soon. But still, let's see, it's tax day. I missed the Blood Moon (rare astronomical event). And I game I've been looking forward to for months was cancelled. Yep, this must have been my WORST day all year!!

Tuesday, April 15, 2014

Well, I thought I would just change the template on my blog

No reason, I thought I do it just for fun. But don't you just love the new sky image. There is a interstate freeway on the cell phone version. I like that, too.  Hope you all like it and don't mind the change.

Well all know what tragic incident happened one year ago from today.

That was the Boston Marathon Bombing. I still hope and pray the best for the people of Boston a year after they went through that one horrible incident. I pray for the families that lost loved ones. I pray for those who were severely injured. Let's hope and pray the best for them all. It was a truly sad day. I hope justice will be served and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev will get a fair and just punishment. I hope the best for us all. I pray for peace and justice. That is all I need to say. Thank you.

Nice try 9

But yer not squeezing bye that easily!

Do you what I hate ALMOST as much as tax day?

HAVING THE NUMBER OF MY POSTS END IN A 9!! I HATE that!! Yes 9, I saw you!!!

Well folks I already told you!

And I HOPE you listened! I told you to "Beware the ides of April!!" Well, folks the ides of April are...TODAY!! Yes, this is the most ominous, the most frightening, the most terrifying situation know to humanity. IT'S THE DAY YOUR TAXES ARE DUE!!! Hope you didn't procrastinate. I sure didn't. But be warned matey! Victory on a fight with the IRS is all but impossible! Defeat is inevitable!! So (just in case you haven't) go get your taxes DONE!! In battle with the IRS, there is NO SUCH THING as victory!!!

This is the last set of photo from the wedding reception.

Another photo of the groom and the bride. Though, I told them I wanted them to dance so, I can get a photo of it.

And so they danced. Well ask and you shall receive. Here is the groom and the bride dancing.

Carson and I want out to look at the outside fire place at night. We managed to see a little bit of the fire burning. My Mom and Aunt Beth were sitting right beside there.

Came inside to see Bayard, Rachell, Kate, and Allie were still in the barn dancing. The band was playing Higher and Higher by Jackie Wilson. They later on invited Carson and I to come along.

So, we accepted.

And danced some more. It was fun!

This is supposed to be the gazebo at night. Sorry it didn't come out right. Oh, well. Well, I have shown you what it was like during the day. But it was a beautiful sight to see at night. If only you were there. Well, Carson and I decided to call it a night. She headed back home to Garner. We both had lots of fun that night. We also got to see Mars and Jupiter in the night sky. Well, you know me, I like astronomy. I just got to get my telescope to see if I can get a view at Jupiter. Maybe also see the Great Red Spot and maybe one of it's moons like Europa. Well, anyway that what tonight was like for all. Hope Bayard and Rachell have a happy marriage.

And here are some more photos of my brother's wedding reception.

Here is another photo of Bayard and Rachell.

Here are members of the groom and brides closest family members welcome the other guests. Sorry didn't get a good picture of Roy (Rachell's father). However, you do see Jane (Rachell's mother pretty well). Greeting some more members of the friends and family. These were the people to my right.

These were the people to my left. Other family members to greet the guests at the party. Here is a picture of my girlfriend Carson (de facto family member), my Mother, Cynthia. And my father, Mike.

Eleanor and Roy giving a speech about the marriage between Bayard and Rachell. And a surprise desert for him. Something we knew he would LOVE!! And it's a (drum roll please)...

A PHISH CAKE!! Bayard has always been a huge Phish fan. So, he was surprises with a Phish cake for his wedding. He was extremely happy.

Beautiful sunset, huh?

Another photo with us. Carson and I are on the far right. Rachell and Bayard are fourth and fifth from left. More of their friend who came along to this wedding reception.

Here's Carson and I taking the dance floor. If only if you could have see us. Most said we were pretty good.

Here's another photo of us dancing.

Here is more photos of the wedding reception.

Here's are some folks in my party. Well, yeah it was my brothers party, but what I mean is the group I was with. Jeez-Louise, that's hard to explain that. Often times when I say my party I don't mean party as in celebration, I mean the people I was with. Though it was my brothers celebration these are the people I was with, or at least the females I was with. From left to right. My girlfriend, Carson. My cousin, Allie. My Aunt Beth. My other cousin, Kate. And my mother, Cynthia. Females of my family. Carson is pretty much a de facto member of my family. Oh bye the way people I have Instigram now. Kate talked me into getting one. My Instigram name is TarheelAaron04, just like Twitter.

Here they are preparing the tables.

Here was the catering service, Mediterranean Deli and Catering They also have a restaurant on Franklin Street called Mediterranean Deli. Not Mediterranean Deli and Catering. Who caters at a restaurant?

Here is Rachell's sister Eleanor. I think I told you folks in an earlier post, she is a member of Country/Bluegrass band called Underhill Rose. She is get the flowers ready for Bayard and Rachell's wedding reception.

Here's the table

Here's my brother, the groom. Kind of ironic though. He came all dressed up for his wedding reception. I've been told he came dressed up quite casual for his wedding yesterday.

Here is Eleanor here to introduce both the groom and the bride.

Here is a picture of them both, my brother Bayard and his bride Rachell.

Even though, they sad no wedding gifts, there were some people that gave them some anyway. Carson and I gave them a $50 gift card to Sur La Table. I told them there is a location at Southpoint.

Well people my brother had a wedding repecption today.

Hello people, well today was my brother's wedding reception. His name is Bayard (pronounced BI-yard) marring his girlfriend for 14 year Rachell (yes, it is spelled with two "L's). He had his actual wedding yesterday. That information was not revealed to me until today. It was a small wedding. Only people who I know attended were my parents and my family from Houston. My Aunt Beth, and two cousins, Kate and Allie. However, there was a wedding reception today. It was at The Barn at Valhalla in Chapel Hill. I was invited to that, as well as my girlfriend Carson. I was looking forward to that party as well, as having her meet my family from Houston.
Here is a view of the barn from the inside. That is where the band played and had dancing as well. Sorry, folks there were no pictures of the band or any pictures of the barn from the outside. Yes, my bad. Take full responsibility for that. But if you wanted to see photos of the Barn at Valhalla, you can always look it up online. Just click search and Barn at Valhalla, Chapel Hill, North Carolina (Chapel Hill, USA for those of you who live abroad)

Some chairs for the big reception.

here is an outdoor fireplace.

a view of the lake.

Here is a view of the gazebo in the daytime.

This is the home of the residents. There are new owners of the place now. The old owner died about a year ago. However, the barn was rented to my brother and his bride for their wedding reception. I thought it was lots. of fun.
Since I have so many photos to show, I think I I will start posting on another post. The other photos will show the actual reception.
