Merry Christmas, everybody

Well, it's Christmas Eve, everybody! I feel merry! Not too much planned. I will be working at Harris Teeter from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Started watching the movie It's a Wonderful Life, yesterday. Watched more this morning. Gonna watch the remainder this evening before I go to church.
So, what do you think Santa is doing right now? Well, I guess I can tell him I've been good. I hope he will have a nice present for me. Doesn't have to be anything fancy, doesn't have to be anything schmancy, Doesn't even have to be something big or expensive.  Just something to give me true joy. But I got all my shopping done!
I did get one present early. Though, it is smiting fancy, schamncy, big, and expensive. It's an iPhone 6 Plus. However, I had an iPhone 3 prior till. I had that first iPhone (iPhone 3) for four years. It was starting to die out. The home button on the lower center area stopped working, had to use the computerized home button. And the batty wasn't lasting as long, and had to charge it up more. I knew it's about time I get a new phone. But odds are it's gonna be another 3-5 years before I get a new phone. I do like getting something that could withstand the test of time some. But Santa, I guess you don't have to worry about the iPhone 6 Plus. You can just get me something simple and sweet to pass around the Christmas joy. I'm not greedy. I LOVE Christmas and have the spirit. Oh, and let's not forget Jesus wants us to GIVE and NOT receive! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!!!!

Two things

One, I am happy to tell the world that the Charlotte Hornets won three games in a row. Must be the first time they did it all year.

Also, almost everyday, I eat similar things for lunch. Varies little from day to day, but trying to keep things it healthy. Make it balanced. I eat carrots and oranges almost every day. But I feel I need a little more variety. But still trying to eat healthy.

It was a great weekend in sports for me.

All my teams won. In NBA Basketball, the Charlotte Hornets beat the Philadelphia 76ers 109-91 last Friday, they beat the Utah Jazz 104-86 on Saturday. First time I've hear the Hornets win twice in a row. GO HORNETS!!! I also had good luck in NCAA Basketball, my team, the UNC Tar Heels beat the Ohio State Buckeyes 82-74. GO TAR HEELS!!! This was a GREAT weekend in Basketball.

And Football was also good. First of all my team the Carolina Panthers beat the Cleavland Browns 17-13. I guess, 13 really was an unlucky number for the Brows after the Panthers beat them. GO PANTHERS!! Also the Detroit Lions beat the Chicago Bears 20-14. Good for the Lions! And My fiancee was also happy that the Dallas Cowboys destroyed the Indianapolis Colts 42-7! That made her happy. And when she's happy, I'm happy. And yes, she's also a fan of the Panthers, too. So, we an excellent weekend in sports!

I have also noticed something.

That post I put up about a year and a half ago how I miss the Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious is still getting hits to this day. Now, you can argue that I have outgrown this stuff, but I did think that show was funny. What I also liked hearing is that Victoria Justice and Ariana Grande have managed to rekindle their friendship. However, I still have this humble request to any of the former cast members who have seen any of the messages on this blog. My request is if at least one of the former cast members gets involved to promote Autism Awareness and support Autism research. That is my request.

Winter Solstice

Well, folks today is the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year. Today is the last day of the downswing of daylight. Starting tomorrow, days will start to get longer, gradually. Of course that also means, it's now officially Winter. But that's what today is, everybody.

Could you beleive this happened this morning?

Though, it not typical for this time of the year. But, we got snow here in North Carolina in December. It almost never snows here in December (except maybe in the mountains). Sorry, the snow didn't show up well in this photo.
But here you can see some piling up.

And this is from the window in my room. Used a smaller version to make it look clearer (larger versions are blurry). Sorry the screen is in the way. Well, even though the snow didn't stick, at least we got some in December. That is very rare for this neck of the wood. Here in North Carolina, we usually don't get some until January (if we get any at all). And 90% of the time, the January snow we get melts away in three or four days. Yes, I'm excited, because we rarely get snow around here. So, no, there's virtually no such thing as a White Christmas here in NC. Our Christmases are as green as lettuce!

All I know is this

Christmas is the time we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. A man who came to the world to give us the greatest gift of all, salvation. Just remember the almighty himself granted you a wonderful present. Now, pass around the joy!

Yes, people I LOVE Christmas

Being that it is Christmas time. I really feel the spirt. I like to buy presents to pass the joy around (and hopefully not max out my credit card). But I mean, it is holiday about giving. And I love to give. I guess, that's the true spirit of Christmas.

But I really do like to pass the joy around. Right now, I'd even pass the joy around to those don't like. EXCEPT YOU 9! Yeah, I'm on to you!! You don't get my Christmas joy, 9!

And yes people, I still hate to see my posts end with the number 9.

Joke

Aliens from outer space look down on Earth, with their ultra-powerful microscope.

Here's what they say (translated of course).

Xinos: Aelon, I'm looking down on this planet the inhabitants call "Earth." I see something packed together. Is this one of their solid molecules?

Aelon: No Xinos, those are just the inhabitants at mall around a point in the year they call "Christmas Time."

This is a message I have to all the Jewish people in the world.

Well, it's sundown, at least it is in North Carolina where I'm from. However, as you Jewish people have figured. I just wanted to wish you a HAPPY CHANUKAH! I hope these next eight days will be wonderful. Even though I'm not Jewish, I still though I would wish all of you Jewish people a wonderful Chanukah this week. HAPPY CHANUKAH!!

Two things

First of all, I am happy this blog has over 17,000 hits! I want to thank all of you people from around the world who took the time to read this blog. I will put more messages on this blog. I will be posting more. And yes, more jokes are the way. I hope I do a good job informing you as well as making you laugh.

Also this happened today while was at school. We talked about Christmas shopping. We are happy that here in the 2010's there is online shopping. I remember saying about 30 years ago people had to comb the stores for gifts.

And well, the thing was, I coincidentally, had a comb in my hand. One person thought it was funny of me saying that with a comb in my hand. Though I didn't mean any jokes. However, it reminded him of the movie Spaceballs. It reminds him of that line when President Skroob tells tells Lord Dark Helmet to "Comb the desert." And then Dark Helmet has his henchmen going down on the planets with combs, COMBING the desert. And then one of Dark Helmet's henchmen asks the question "Don't you think we're taking Skoobs words a little too literally?" Then Helmet says back "No, you heard Skrood's orders. He told us to comb the desert, and we're combing the desert!" Well, I though that line was funny.

While watching WWE TLC

Yes, while watching the WWE TLC (and stairs) Pay-per-view over the WWE Network for only $9.99 (sorry had to include that joke), one of my tweets went on the air. It was my tweet about the Tables Match being a CLASSIC!

Question

You know these songs.

-Let is Snow

-Winter Wonderland

-Sleigh Ride

-Frosty the Snowman

My question is, why do we sing these songs almost exclusively around Christmas time, when they are really just about Winter? Well, just a question.

This is what happended yesterday.

Well, before I started working. I thought I would go be with my fiancee, Carson. We ended up watching the UNC Basketball game. Yes, I know, I just told you they lost to the Kentucky Wildcats, but the Wildcats are pretty good. But I thought I would be with her before I start work.

As you know, we first say that game. No, more detail necessary. You already know had it ended. After a certain point, Carson and I couldn't take anymore. We changed the channel. We saw an NC State game. They played...they played, hum....ya know, I can't remember who they played. All I know is state just rolled over their opponents. Game was boring!

Then we stated watching the movie Home Alone. We can all agree that movie is CLASSIC! One of the greatest family comedies of all time!! It does have some it's touching moments. If you haven't seen that movie, please do, you may like it.

Cravon (her father) went to see Mary (her mother) in the hospital. Carson had to stay home to look after Butler, their pug. However, I thought I would come by to cheer herself up some. She has been saddened that her mother is in the hospital. Can you keep praying for her Mary? It would mean a lot to her.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while

But you know what Christmas time is like. It can be quite stressful. Especially, with all the shopping. However, I just knew I had to get it done.Good news is, IT IS!! Yes, no more Christmas shopping.

I spend my day with Carson. We meet at Southern Season. It's a gourmet emporium chain found here in North Carolina. I don't want to tell the public where Carson and I shopped (so, just in case if people I know stumble on this blog won't get ideas want I bought them for Christmas. Don't want to ruin the surprise).

Carson and I had a late lunch. We ate at a place called Old Chicago. I looks like a sporty type place. But it was a place recommended by Carson's sister-in-law. It was a yummy place. I got to have a nice pizza. I love Chicago pizza. I like that thick crust. While we were there. Carson and I were watching the Panthers game. They were doing well. However, we didn't know about the hours of the places on Sundays. So, we decided that we couldn't stay too long. Didn't see the end of the game.

Well, Basketball this week SUCKED, because both my teams lost. The Charlotte Hornets lost both Friday and Saturday. The lost to the Memphis Grizzlies 113-107. The game was close and went into double overtime. But the Hornets came up short. But still, it sucks. I want the Hornets to win. And them they lost again to the Brooklyn Nets 114-87. Hornets better improve soon. I'm sick of hearing them lose. And Yes, the UNC Tar Heels lost the Kentucky Wildcats 84-70 in NCAA Basketball. That also SUCKS! Both my B-ball teams lost!!

Now, Football was a different story. Yes, there my teams won. Yes, the Carolina Panthers beat one of their in division rivals the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (yes, that was the game Carson and I saw at Old Chicago), 19-17. So, I guess, that makes me happy. I'm sick of seeing the Panthers lose. What I also like is that my other team, the Detroit Lions also won. They beat their arch rivals (or at least I think they are) the Minnesota Vikings. Though, the Lions were behind through out most of the game, they beat the Vikings 16-14. I guess, I had a good weekend in Football.

Oh, this week, while doing Christmas shopping. I manged to run into a customer I served a lot at Harris Teeter. His name is Larry. He also got to say "hi" to my fiancee, Carson. Now, I am about to watch WWE TLC. I guess, it was a good Sunday.

Sunday, December 7, 2014

Oh, one more thing

I have heard that UNC won their game ahead of time, but I've been told it was told they had 109 points, not 108. If it was 109, do you think 9 was trying to get the best of me, seeing my team win with a 9? Just a question.

Well, sports has been going all right.

Though, I am hoping to pass certification in the IT field from New Horizon's sometimes. However, in the world of sports this has been a good weekend. First of the all the Charlotte Hornets beat the New York Knicks right at the buzzer (no pun intended). But, yes, the Hornets actually won! The final score, 103-102. GO HORNETS!!

Asked for the NFL, my team, the Carolina Panthers also emerged victorious. They CRUSHED the New Orleans Saints 41-10. Yes, the Panthers did win. And YES, they won bye THAT much! GO PANTHERS!! And also, the Detroit Lions won, beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 34-17. Well, grew up in Detroit, so I like the Lion, too.

And of course, YES, my NCAA B.Ball team, the UNC Tar Heels DESTROYED the ECU Pirates 108-63. GO TAR HEELS!! But ya know, that wasn't really all of a surprise. Tar Heels have been doing well in Basketball. Also, it seems both sea thieves I DIDN'T favor lost. Looks like my teams "stole" all their hopes and plunged them down to "Davy Jones' Locker." Hopefully, the San Diego Chargers will beat the New England Patriots and I'd be really happy (no, I don't hate New England, just the Patriots). Well, that's all for now.

Sunday, November 30, 2014

In NFL Football.

Well, not a good day. My team, the Carolina Panthers lost (again). And Cravon (Carson's dad) wasn't happy that the Washington Redskins lost today as well. But I guess, it wasn't all bad. My least favorite team lost. That would of course be The New England Patriots. The Patriots lost to the Green Bay packers.

Well, folks here we are.

It's the Advent Season. It's the four Sundays to Christmas. The first Sunday was today. Its the season where Christians prepare for Judgment Day. This is my personal Advent Wreath at home. Just thought I'd use it for a photo. Those iStocks credit are really expensive. Hope those photography lessons paid off. But here's a photo for all of you to see. Happy Advent everybody.

In NCAA Basketball, and to UNC fans...

I have this joke for you.

Q.  About The Tar Heels trip to the Bahamas, do you know what food it reminds me of?

A. Meatloaf, because I shouldn't feel sad, 'cause two out of three ain't bad.

Yeah, the UNC Tar Heels won two out of their three games in the Bahamas. And of course we all know about that song by Meatloaf. Right? That's where I got that joke.

Saturday, November 29, 2014

Oh, thought I would share this with you all.

Here is a selfie of Carson and I at the UNC game.

In NCAA Football, I went to the North Carolina State Rivalry game today.

Yes, Caron, my fiancee and I went to see the State Rivalry game. Here are some photos I'd share with you all. Carson and I are both UNC fans. We went to see the game. It is between the North Carolina (AKA UNC) Tar Heels and the North Carolina State (AKA NC State) Wolfpack.
Carson and I both got there early. Few people were there.

Here is a picture of both Rameseses, anthropomorphic ram, and the real ram with his horns painted Carolina Blue (that's a light shade of blue. It's also known as sky blue).

Here are the Marching Tar Heels, getting together making them form this UNC logo. Unfortunately, Carson and I sat from behind.

Here are the flag bearers! One of them is Rameses. The anthropomorphic Rameses that is.

Here come the Tar Heels.

Seen from the game.

Tar Heels got crushed. Carson and I could not bear anymore. We decided to leave at half-time.

Here is a picture of the Old Well. It is the most popular landmark at UNC.

Here is Carson in the Old Well. Well, UNC lost badly 35-7. Make us sad. But, well at least we didn't get shut out. We did get lunch at a nearby Mexican restaurant called Monterrey. Carson loves that place. Them we went around the U-Mall some. We had a nice day, despite the Tar Heel loss.

Thursday, November 27, 2014

Well, in the news of NCAA Basketball...

THE UNC TAR HEELS BEAT THE UCLA BRUINS 78-56!! GO TAR HEELS!!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Well, hope everybody here in my country, the U.S. of A enjoyed their Thanksgiving Day! I know, a day where you get to enjoy a nice good turkey dinner with all the fixings. I had some olives, cranberry sauce, and mashed potatoes with mine. I had fun. It's also a day where you get to spend with the family enjoy a football game or two.
Yes, that explains the shirt that I was wearing in this selfie. It is a Detroit Lions playing the Chicago Bears. As you can see (being one who grew up in Detroit myself) I was cheering for the Lions. I worked at Harris Teeter today from 8:00-12:00. Well, HT closed at 2:00. It was meet to give the public a chance for any last minute odd and ends of things that may have been forgotten. I all I know is I prefer not to work that day. I was honest enough to tell the boss I didn't want to work that day. But I had no valid excuse. Especially, told him I really wanted to see the Lions game at 12:30. Well, he did make me work, but at least I was let off in plenty of time to see the Lions game. I watched it. Lions beat the Bears 34-17. That made me HAPPY. My fiancee wasn't happy to see the Cowboys lose. She really loves the Dallas Cowboys. I think they lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 33-10. That also makes me sad when she gets sad. Well, in NCAA Basketball UNC leads UCLA 43-29. Maybe Carolina will win and make up for the Cowboys loss. Hopefully, the Tar Heels will keep their lead and WIN! Even though, the UNC Basketball game was not available on my cable. If it weren't for Google, there would be no way I could get updates on the scores.
About Thanksgiving Dinner, we did eat it while watching the tail end of the Lion's game in from of the Television (I was me, my Mom, and my Dad). I did peel potatoes for Mom. Dad caved the turkey and boxed up the leftovers. Well, I did help some with the clean up. I had to clean up the dog pee! Yeah, the dog has been drinking lots of fluids and has to urinate a lot. But someone had to do it. Unfortunately, that someone was me (lucky me, and yes, that was sarcasm). But, I know about all the food, families, and Football (and for those of you who live outside the United States, yes, I mean American Football). But the really meaning of the day is to count your blessings. I guess, mine are the fact I am in school studding for first rate employment. I have parents who love me (though eccentric sometimes), and I am engaged to a very beautiful, loving, and caring woman, Carson. Those, are what I am thankful for. That and the Lions won today. My favorite team in the NFL. Well, my favorite team next to the Carolina Panthers at least. But well...HAPPY THANKSGIVING, EVERYBODY!!!

Which photo do you like better.

As you know my dog, Lili, has had surgery recently. She need to be tube feed and because of that she lost some weight. She can't eat solid food anymore (and many of us know how much Rottweilers LOVE to eat). Because of that she been getting colder. She doesn't have the fat to keep her warm. We got two doggie sweaters for her. Which do you like better?

Do you like the Star Wars sweater?

Or the Valentine's hearts sweater? Take your pick

Bye the way

Sill happy the UNC Tar Heels beat the Duke Blue Devils 45-20 in NCAA Football last night. Could you believe Duke was favored something like 3-1 over Carolina? But Carolina just well...DESTROYED Duke!! I mean, 45-20? Doesn't look like much competition for the Heels!! UNC, UNC, UNC, UNC....GO, HEELS, GO!!!!

Yes, I'm still a member if the Tar Heels Nation! And right now, on Cloud 9. Wait a minute?! 9?!! I HATE that number!! That's my unlikely number!! Well, I don't know any other expressions. And to save you all some pointless verbiage, yes, I'm still happy UNC beat Duke in Football last night.

And this piece of extra verbiage is for those of you who live outside the United States. The sport I'm talking when I say Football is American Football. It's probably different from the sport you call Football. The sport you call Football is probably the sport we call Soccer. That is all.

Bad news, good news

Got good news in my life. And I got some bad news. First my bad news. I took the A+ Certification test yesterday and failed. Well, I will have other opportunities. I'm not the first to flunk the first time (I've been the majority do). However, I will have to seriously prepare for the second time around.

However, in NCAA Football UNC just destroyed Duke 45-20. What's even more amazing, Duke was favored OVERWHELMINGLY. But UNC beat them by 25 points. Who would have thought. What even better, after losing to Duke these past two years, the Tar Heels get to take the Victory Bell back home with to Chapel Hill. I don't think the Blue Devils have been so humiliated all season. But that's the situation.

Saturday, November 15, 2014

Though I LOVE the news in Basketball, there is still one thing I HATE!!

IT'S YOU 9!! Yes, I'm on to you!!!! There is NO WAY I gonna let you end my post.

Hey, I just though of something. It's a case of irony. You know how they say terrible things come in three's. But here, it (to me) seemed WONDERFUL things came in three's. First wonderful thing, the UNC Tar Heels beat the NC Central Eagles 76-60. The second wonderful thing that happened, the Charlotte Hornets beat the Phoenix Suns 103-95. And the third wonderful thing...I JUST BEAT 9!! HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh and to make my sports news EVEN BETTER!!

My other Basketball team won!! Yes, in NBA Basketball, the Charlotte Hornets beat the Phoenix Suns 103-95!! GO HORNETS!!! First the Tar Heels, now the Hornets!!! Could Basketball get any better for me? I THINK NOT!!! YYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In sports news I will share this.

I was happy that the UNC Tar Heels beat the NC Central Eagles last night in NCAA Basketball. GO HEELS, GO!!!!

Tuesday, November 11, 2014

Okay they say to hate is wrong but...

I STILL HATE YOU, 9!!! Yeah, I'm on to you. And just LOVE to get you!!! 9, you are NEVER safe from me!! And there ain't no chance I'm gonna let you be the final number on my posts!! I hate you, 9.

Prayer request.

Please pray for my fiancee's family. Mary, the mother of Carson (she's my fiancee), has Parkinson's Disease. She was given different medication but nothing seems to help. Please pray that Mary will be all right and the doctors can help find treatment for Mary's condition. Please pray the best for Mary and Carson.

Yeah, watching WWE.

Yeah, I DVR'ed Raw last night. It's in London. Yeah, I want to watch WWE while it's still in business. I just hope they get out of their rut (same as the Panthers). But if they go out of business, I will sure miss them. GOODBYE WWE.

Oh, I think I forgot to mention that one of the WWE Diva's follows me on Twitter now. It's Paige, the British Diva. Kinda ironic since this episode of Raw I'm watching was in London.

Oh, to my fellow Americans

PLEASE don't forget today is Veterans' Day! Let all the veterans know that we appreciate all they do for us, to keep us free!! Please show your support to the veterans on this Veterans' Day! Especially, to all the ones who gave their lives for us!! They have been working real hard to keep us free! Let's give our full support!

Well Election Day was one week from today.

And I still think Senators should be limited to two terms and Representatives should be limited to six.

That would be 12 years total for each.

Tuesday, November 4, 2014

To my fellow Americans

It's Election Day! So, PLEASE don't forget to vote. The big election going on here in my state of North Carolina is for a Senate race between incumbent Kay Hagen (D) and challenger Thom Tillis (R). All I know whoever wins is who we're stuck with for the next six years! No, not fours years like the president, or two years like a representative but SIX. I especially, want my fellow North Carolinians to hear about this! Whether if it's Tillis or Hagen again, it's who we're suck with for the next six years! So, you better vote!

Question for everybody that's very relevant

So, how do you think Linus is doing right now? Another year, and once again no Great Pumpkin. I did say the question is relevant.

PS. Yes, that was supposed to be sarcasm.

Trivia for you all

Did you know that October 31 was the day Martin Luther pinned The Ninety-Five Theses not on the Cathedral in 1517. Thought I would share that with you all.

Halloween at Carson's

After I got off of work at Shoeboxed, I headed over to Carson and her place. I got a different shirt and some make-up for my vampire costume. Carson was there dressed in her Carolina Panthers shirt. She had lots of goodie bags ready. Unfortunately, we didn't many kids over trick-or-treaters. In fact, there weren't many in her neighborhood. A neighbor called. The neighbor didn't any so she closed up. But it was still fun. Thought I would share some pictures with you all.

Here's a picture of Carson and myself.
One of Carson.
One of me. Different shirt any make-up. How does it look?
Carson and Cravon (her father). Looks closely you can maybe see Butler, the pug. Can you see him.
You get a better view of Butler with this picture. And yes, candy is sweet. But do you know what's sweeter than candy. It was something in the bags. It's in the pictures below.
Ah, wrong side.

THAT'S IT!!

Carson than tried to show me a house that was decorated. Unfortunately, so did a lot of other people town. Sorry, but the picture of the house sucks.

OOOHHH, moon in the clouds. Spooky! Well, hope all of you out there had a happy Halloween!

Halloween at Shoeboxed

Well, here at Shoeboxed we had a little fun this Halloween wearing costumes. They also served candy. One of my associates took some of the left over candy to her house and gave it to the kids as they came trick or treating. Here are some of the costumes. It was fun.

Here's Pat. She won the contest. She came as a fortune teller. Good for her. Well, it was a good costume.

Benton came there dressed up a bicyclist.
Eric, as an inmate.
Alex came as a Baseball player.

Me, as Count Dracula. I finished second so I got a $25 gifts certificate to Monuts. A place that serves gourmet donuts. The first place participate (Pat) got a $50 gift certificate. They had a $15 gift certificate. Yes, the top three get free doughnuts. Gourmet style. Cool, huh?!

Here's a picture of the group who participated in the costume contest. I didn't get permission from Dan if he would like a self picture for this blog. That's why he didn't have a self-picture him dressed like Picachu. He finished third. Two other people came dressed up. One was Colton, who came dressed up as a $1 taco. Colton left before I could take a picture of him. Emily also came dressed up as "Boo!", but she didn't want to be pictured for this blog. Well, it was a happy Halloween at Shoeboxed.

Happy Halloween, everybody!

Happy Halloween, everybody! I hope all enjoy your day! Well, I personally have some plans tonight. I am going to be with Carson (my financee) and we'll be handing out candy to her neighborhood children. I just hope I don't scare the kids too much with my vampire costume. And I also hope they don't eat too much trick-or-treat candy tonight. Because if my costume doesn't give them nightmares, that candy will. Just like the Panthers loss last night. I sure found that scary! I really, really, REALLY hope and pray they do better! But don't you just love Halloween well, I do!
Here's some trivia for you all. Did you know that Halloween is probably the most popular unofficial holiday of our society. And yes, by this I am referring to American society for those of you who may live outside the United States. But getting back to the point. No, Halloween has never been officialized. I know Christmas is probably more popular. However, Christmas is official. Happy Halloween everybody!!

One thing I remember growing up in Detroit

Yeah, I now live in North Carolina. However, I grew up in Detroit. And in Detroit, this was one night you certainly wanted to AVOID! Yes, a time of the year I DON'T want to remember, but do. It was the night before Halloween. The night Detroiters call "Devil's Night." Devils Night is a night of  severe arson where houses get burned down. Makes me wonder if there be enough people from the Police and Fire departments who will be there to stop it. Especially, after Detroit filed for bankruptcy. Please pray for Detroit tonight.

Here is a situation that happened at work today. One if my associates said something like "Scorpios rule!" I told him if you live in Detroit and if October 30th is your birthday, it would SUCK! That means, your birthday falls on Devil's Night. A night when should be home because it may be your only hope of being safe (as long your house doesn't get torched). Because who knows what's going through the minds of those arsonists. We know they are violent and crazy. Well, what I have to say. Hope you all have a Happy Halloween and pray for Detroit on Devil's Night.

Here is the update on MY TEAMS professional sports

Well, my Football team, and yes, for those of you who live outside the United States the sport is American Football. Not the same sport you call Football. We call that sport Soccer. But in American Football, my team, the Carolina Panthers have been on a two game losing streak. The lost to the Green Bay Packers October 19. And they they lost to the Seattle Seahawks last Sunday as well. They will have their Thursday night game tonight against one of their division rivals, the New Orleans Saints tonight. I wish them the best of luck in that. Hopefully, they will win that game. GO PANTHERS!!!

Asked for the other team, my NBA Basketball team, the Charlotte Hornets, the WON yesterday at the last moment. They were far behind originally, but made a MAJOR comeback. The beat the Milwaukee Bucks 108-106 in overtime. They said that was probably their biggest comeback in history. I hope they win A LOT more games this year. I guess, it's good way for them to start off their season (yes, this was their first game). GO HORNETS!!! But that's my sports news for you.

I little poem I wrote.

Elephants are red, donkeys are blue. If you buy into conspiracy theories. Well, THE JOKE IS ON YOU!!!

So, DON'T buy into political conspiracy theories. They are all just a bunch of HOOEY!!

A message to all of my fellow Americans

Please remember to vote. And if you live in an area that has early voting (like my state, North Carolina), please vote early if you can. Nice to get it out of the way. I know the Senate race between incumbent Kay Hagen (D) and challenger Thom Tillis (R) has gotten NASTY! Neither candidate seems to be expressing their ideas. They're just mudslinging. Well, I don't know about you, but I'd rather hear a candidates ideas. Give me a reason to why to vote for you! NOT why we should not vote for your opponent. But all I know is this! TO my fellow North Carolinians, keep in mind a Senator serves for SIX years! Yes, SIX YEARS!! Not four years like a Governor (or President), or two years like a Representative, but six years for a Senator. Which means whoever wins, this is who we're stuck with for the next six years. Please vote, and vote wisely. And vote with your heart!

Now, for this post about Football.

And for those of you who live outside the United States, the sport is American Football. Probably different from the sport you call Football. The sport you call Football is the sport us Americans call Soccer. Now, I have that out of the way, on to my post about tonight.

Is this great of what?!! I am so happy that UNC beat Georgia Tech tonight! What makes thing even better is due to the fact the Yellow Jackets were favored overwhelmingly!! But when the smoke cleared and the dust settled, MY TEAM, the TAR HEELS, EMERGED VICTORIOUS!!! Yes, final score UNC 48, Georgia Tech 43. In this game David beat Goliath.

Now, I only hope David emerges victorious over Goliath again tomorrow when the Carolina Panthers face the Green Packers at the Packers home field in Green Bay. Well, the Panthers beat the Lions ealier this season. And the Lions beat the Packers a couple week ago. However, still, most people think the Packers are favored over the Panthers something like 2-1 (though I don't know the exact odds for sure). Point is the odds favor Packers over Panthers overwhelmingly. I hope the Panthers can pull it off. But they'll have their work cut out for them. I still HOPE for the best.

However, if BOTH the Tar Heels AND the Panthers win, I would be even happier than Cloud 9. Especially, IF I see BOTH my team win after conquering such tremendous odds!! Well, the Heels won tonight!! I HOPE the Panthers can do the same tomorrow!!

Yes, 9. I see you coming.

So, you are NOT going to end my next post! So, HA!!!

And yes

I still hate seeing my post end in a 9! So, TAKE THAT 9!!!!

Well, just thought I would share this selfie, and this count down 3-2-1.

And maybe I should share my Sunday with you. But, that describes the Panthers right now, 3-2-1. Yes, in that order. My fiancee, Carson and I went to a local Champs Sports Bar to go see, my team, the Carolina Panthers play today. They played the Cincinnati Bengals in the Bengals home town of Cincinnati. Hey, that's also Luke Kuechly's home town. To Champs I worse my Panthers shirt and hat. Carson worse her Panthers shirt as well. Yes, to this "Kitty Cat Bowl." I hoped our cats would win. People thought the Bengals would dominate the Panthers. However, it turned out to be a seesaw game. It kept Carson and I at the edge of our seats. At the end of the fourth quarter the game was tied 37-37. The game went into overtime. The Bengals missed a field goal at the end of overtime. After overtime, game ended in a draw, 37-37. So, the Panthers are now 3-2-1. I guess, I tie is better than a loss. But still, ties aren't so fun to see. But I HATE to see my team lose. Well, I guess that's just the way things go. After that Carson did some shopping. She even got me a Panthers pen, I though was nice of her. I covered the appetizer and desert at Champs. I hope she is happy the Dallas Cowboys beat the Seattle Sea Hawks today. I am happy that the Detroit Lions DESTROYED their #1 rivals the Minnesota Viking, 17-3. But that was my Sunday for ya! And Panthers are 3-2-1, IGNITION !! Sorry, had tht joke in there! See ya later!!

By the way people.

Yes, I post a lot of jokes on this blog. I try to make them funny. However, some jokes are NOT funny. One example of that would be on the flight yesterday, that man who on a flight leaving Philadelphia, who yelled "I have Ebola, you are all screwed!" He made all the passengers and pilots shake with fear, anxiety, and terror. But after the smoke cleared and the dust settles, it turns out he didn't have Ebola. It was a prank. He assumed his prank was funny. Well, you know what they say about the word, ASSUME. Hint, it's how it spelled. And it's TRUE. People had to cover their faces, clean the plane top to bottom after landing, and people and flights were delayed for two hours. His prank wasn't funny, and I think (or I HOPE) he learned that lesson the hard way. He may face misdemeanor charges for what he did. People, these kinds of pranks are not funny. You don't know what you are doing. You may have "opened a Pandora's box" on yourself. DON"T PULL THESE KINDS OF PRANKS!!!

I also have a prayer request for all those who have Ebola and had died. Please pray for the families for those who died, so they may get though this burden. Please pray for those with Ebloa that they may be all right. Please pray that science can stop it. This is what I pray for.

This is what I did yesterday.

Well, I asked Shoeboxed if I could leave early. They granted it to me. I went by New Horizon's to study more for my certification. I will need that. However, since I went went back to school, there is good news. I got an "A" for my first leg. There are more legs to go, but I A-ced my first one.

I also had to get ready for dinner that evening. It was my parents 44th wedding anniversary. To celebrate, my mother wanted a dinner with her husband, both her boys, and their ladies. So, yes it was a party of six. My parents, Bayard (pronounced BI-yard, and he's my brother), Rachell (yes, it's spelled with two "L's" and she is Bayard's wife), Carson (my fiancee), and myself. We ate at an small but upscale French restaurant in Carrboro called Provence. My brother is foodie, so he's willing to try anything. But there are things I have to admit even I have my limits. I know both my brother and father love their escargot (that's snail by the way) but Carson and I don't feel ready to try that, yet. Carson and I started with salads. We got some of their mint spinach salads. Made with spinach, mint, goat cheese, and pecans. But those salads were GOOD! But hey, I guess even most of you out there would rather have a salad than snail, right?! No offense to the French. Maybe I lived in the US for too long, but here, to most of us, snail is disgusting. There was a thunderstorm that came up. We had to stay longer and did. Hope my parents had a happy anniversary. They had gifts for Carson and Rachell. For Carson it's box of Halloween See's Candy, she and her family love it! And some coffee for Rachell. Rachell drinks a lot of coffee.

So Saturday, I'll be working at Harris Teeter, 3-11. However, on Sunday Carson and I will get together. We are going to champs to see a Panthers game. Yes, I will be another of what mother call a "Kitty Cat Bowl" featuring our team, the Carolina Panthers against the Cincinnati Bengals. Unlike the first "Kitty Cat Bowl" featuring the Carolina Panthers vs. the Detroit Lions, this "Kitty Cat Bowl" will be away (at Cincinnati), Carson and I still HOPE that OUR CATS, the Panthers, win. GO PANTHERS AND KEEP POUNDING!!!!!!

Random trivia for you all, did you know that Carolina Panthers middle linebacker, #59, Luke Kuechly is from Cincinnati. Maybe the folks in Cincinnati will give him a good home coming. If the Panthers win a Super Bowl, and if he's still on that team, I guess the folks in the Carolinas and Cincinnati get to share a hero. Well, that's all for now.

This what I did yesterday

Well yesterday, Carson (my fiancee), and I got some Pizza at the University Mall. Afterwords, we went over to my place. My mother had some Halloween decoration that she felt she didn't need anymore. She though Carson and I can go take it to Mike and Gretchen's house. Mike is Carson's brother and Gretchen is Mike's wife. But first, we thought we would watch the conclusions of both Football games. At the Pizza parlor, they were showing both Football games. One featured the Carolina Panthers against the Chicago Bears. The other was the Dallas Cowboys vs. the Houston Texans. Carson and I both like the Panthers. I am probably the bigger Panther fan of the two though. However, Carson is more of a fan of the Cowboys. They are her favorite team. While we were at my house we flipped though channels. We started watching both games at the pizza parlor, Cowboys lead 3-0, but the Panther trailed 21-14. Well, the Texans caught up with the Cowboys, tying the score 17-17. The game went into overtime. However, the Cowboys won in the end after scoring a field goal. Final score Cowboys 20 and Texas 17. Things were ever more if a battle for the Panthers, but they to came up victorious. The got the two touchdowns they needed and recovered a fumble. Panthers beat the Bears 31-24. To me, it makes up for UNC's loss on Saturday. That's why I branch out between college and professional.

After our Football games were over, we went over to Mike and Gretchen's. Mike's some Harrison had a Flag Football game today, so he wasn't home. Gretchen was though. We shown Gretchen what we had for her. Gretchen though we have gave her a little much, though the kids did like the decorations when they saw them last year. But if they didn't have room, Gretchen though she will share them with the rest of the neighborhood. But that was my Sunday for you.

And for those of you who live outside the United States, when I saw Football, I mean American Football to avoid any confusion.

I remember this from the yesterday's game.

Even though UNC lost to Virginia Tech yesterday. However, I still though it was touching to see Hokies pray for one of the Tar Heels that he tackled and hurt yesterday. I thought it was a very sweet thing to do. It was touching.

Oh, for all you folks who live outside the United States, the sport is American Football.

Joke

Q: Do you think the Dow Jones Industrial Average likes to play dancing games?

A: I don't but last week, I think it had fun playing LIMBO!

Well, I spend my Saturday with Carson and her family.

Well, I will start by saying that the first leg of my IT training is done. Made me VERY happy. My second leg starts Monday. However, I still have to take my certification exam. Please pray that I can get though that. But still, material at New Horizon's is quite rigorous! However, they are serious about success.

Well, asked for today. I went over to Carson's to go see the UNC Football game. Carson made some chili to go around. She cooks good chili. Glad I got to eat some. They played Virginia Tech. They played AWFULLY in that first half. They got better in the second half. However, it was not enough. Virginia Tech won 34-17. Yep, that sucks. I tried to stay positive. But that's just the way things end.

I did stay by a little longer to see the Alabama/Ole Miss game. Carson, Cravon (her father), and myself all cheered for Ole Miss. And there was a another person (who was personally at the game) cheering for Ole Miss, a special guest at Ole Miss. The pop music sensation Katy Perry. Yes people, THE KATY PERRY! No, Katy Perry wasn't at Carson's house. But Katy Perry was at Ole Miss's Football stadium cheering for Ole Miss. She even had some Ole Miss memorabilia on. I guess Katy also like to cheer for underdogs. I left to get to my home around half time. I got home, my Dad had the game on as well. I called Carson to let her know I got home safe and sound. When I got home the game was tied 17-17. Then Ole Miss got a touchdown. Ole Miss won 23-17. GO OLE MISS!!! First time Ole Miss went 5-0 since the administration of JFK. Asked for beating a first ranked team, it was the first time Ole Miss did that EVER! HAPPY Ole Miss won. Still sad UNC lost. Maybe my NFL teams will have better luck tomorrow.

Well, last Firday my fiancee and I went to a Football game at her old high school

Okay, last Friday my fiancee and I went to see a high school Football game at at my fiancee's old high school. Her high school team was known as the Garner Trojans. They played the East Wake Warriors. This was Garner's Homecoming game. Garner is wearing blue and gold. East Wake is wearing blue and white. The sport is Football. However, if you live outside of the United States, you would probably know the sport as American Football. But we Americans call it just plain Football.

Here's East Wake's team.

Here's Garner's marching band awaiting their team.

Here is the banner the Trojans run through to start the game. I tied to get a picture of them coming thorough. However, I missed my chance. Timing was off. Sorry people.

Captains on both teams meet. Sorry, couldn't get East Wake's captains very well. But this is the coin flip. It is to determine who who get to decide on what to do with the ball. Garner won, so they got to decide and decided to get the ball first.

This was supposed to be the start of the game. Something was wrong with my camera, Wasn't able to get a good picture of the action.

The photography still sucks. I don't know why.

Bury, bury, bury! May need to get that camera checked on. But as you see East Wake has the ball.

But at the half Garner still lead 19-0

Here is the Homecoming Court.

Here's the left side I wasn't able to get. DRAT!!

Here's the runners up!!

And here's the King and Queen!! Sorry for the bad quality.

This is the King ans Queen riding off in their car. Sorry, I may need to get my camera fixed.

Now, back to the action.

East Wake started to build momentum.

Here are some Garner fans to cheer them on some.

They like to wave Garner flags and American flags to cheer them on some.

Well, we left half way though the fourth quarter. Garner was still a head. I hear they won 33-21. Sorry, but Carson (my fiancee) and I thought things got too rowdy and decided to go. But that's what Friday night was like.
